Risk Disclaimer
Last updated: 27 July 2026
Trading leveraged instruments and crypto-assets carries a substantial risk of loss. You can lose more than you deposit. Never trade with money you cannot afford to lose.
1. Not investment advice
TraderBots provides software. It does not provide investment, financial, legal or tax advice, and is not a broker, exchange, investment adviser or portfolio manager. Nothing produced by the platform — including AI scores, signals, strategy suggestions, backtest results, health scores, briefings and any other output — is a recommendation to buy or sell any asset, or an assurance that any transaction is suitable for you.
All trading decisions are yours alone. If you are unsure whether a product or strategy is appropriate for your circumstances, seek advice from an independent, licensed professional.
2. Automated trading risk
Bots execute according to rules and market data, without human judgement. In addition to ordinary market risk, automated trading exposes you to:
- Software defects, misconfiguration and unintended strategy behaviour.
- Connectivity, exchange outage, API rate limiting and order rejection.
- Latency, slippage, partial fills and gaps that move price past your stop.
- Liquidation of leveraged positions, potentially in full and very quickly.
- Erroneous, delayed or unavailable market or news data.
Risk controls offered by the platform — stop-loss and take-profit orders, position sizing limits, drawdown limits, circuit breakers and the kill switch — reduce risk but cannot eliminate it. They can fail, and they cannot protect against gaps, halts or exchange failures. They are not a guarantee against loss.
3. Past and simulated performance
Past performance does not predict future results. Backtests and optimisations are simulations over historical data, subject to overfitting and to assumptions about fees, slippage and liquidity that may not hold in live markets. Paper trading results are hypothetical: they do not involve real capital and cannot fully reproduce real execution, funding costs or market impact. Live results will differ, and may differ substantially.
Any figures shown in demonstrations, marketing material or the in-product demo mode are illustrative examples, not achieved results and not a projection of what you will earn.
4. AI-generated output
The platform uses automated models and third-party data sources to produce scores, classifications and narrative explanations. These outputs are probabilistic, may be incomplete, out of date or wrong, and must not be relied on as fact. Where data sources are unavailable, outputs degrade and may be based on fewer inputs than usual.
5. Your keys, your funds
Live trading executes with exchange API credentials that you supply. TraderBots does not take custody of your assets and cannot withdraw your funds. You are responsible for the security of your accounts and credentials, for the permissions you grant to API keys, and for any activity carried out through them.
6. Regulatory and eligibility
Availability of crypto-assets, derivatives and leverage varies by jurisdiction, and some products may be restricted or prohibited where you live. You are responsible for determining whether your use of the platform is lawful in your jurisdiction and for complying with applicable tax obligations. Tax features are informational only and are not a substitute for professional tax advice.
7. No guarantee of availability
The service may be unavailable or interrupted for maintenance, upgrades, third-party failures or reasons outside our control. Bots may not run during such periods, and open positions may be affected. Do not use the platform as your only means of managing risk on open positions.
